§ Noble certifications

October 22, 2010 came into force on State Committee of Ukraine for technical regulation and consumer policy № 426 of 22 September 2010, according to which section 26 of the list of products subject to mandatory certification in Ukraine have been eliminated 12 items.
Among them: rennet cheese, butter and sunflower oil, sausage, candy, canned goods and other products are usually present in the menu, daily food of an average Ukrainian.

As for the certification of infant foods, she was left unchanged. It was also agreed heads of territorial departments for consumer protection and public supervision of compliance with standards, rules and regulations to strengthen control over production, excluded from the list of mandatory certification in Ukraine.

These changes have resulted from commitments made by Ukraine to the World Trade Organization in connection with entering the latter. It is also known that the abolition of certification of certain foods was a prerequisite of obtaining the loan to cover the budget deficit, amounting to 500 million U.S. dollars.

On the one hand, such changes in the certification process should not seemingly affect the deterioration of product quality in the domestic market, but on the other - providing producers the possibility to decide the quality of output leaves hope for the best. It is doubtful to expect an increase in the number of meat in sausages or milk prestanut making of powder mixtures. Consumers continue to be a challenge - from the whole range of goods offered for purchase in stores, to choose the best possible quality.

"A spoon of honey in a barrel of tar." Now, printing the label stock, it is not necessary to write that the product is completely natural and without preservatives. Now you can easily specify - "sausage from perfect toilet paper" and it still hits the supermarket shelves.

Along with that the decree puts in a dangerous condition of domestic producers against foreign. Substandard imported products that have not been certified in Ukraine, flooded the Ukrainian market. As a result, we risk destroying the majority of our manufacturers.
